Lionel Messi, the only Barcelona player in the ideal Champions League squad
The Argentine is in the squad published by UEFA for the best side of the tournament
UEFA's official Champions League twitter account published a list of 18 players who would in the 'best squad' of the tournament. The only Barcelona player in the squad was Lionel Messi.
As expected there are a lot of Madrid players in there given they won the tournament, beating Liverpool in the Kiev final.
Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Keylor Navas, Varane, Marcelo, Casemiro, Modric and Toni Kroos were picked in the team. Liverpool had Mo Salah, Firmino and Virgil Van Dijk in there, while there were a few from other clubs. Here's the complete list:
