The Argentine, Coutinho, Busquets and Ansu re-joined group training on Wednesday

Lionel Messi returned to full training with Barcelona on Wednesday following two days of individual sessions. The Argentina forward trained with his teammates under the orders of Ronald Koeman for the first time since trying to leave the club.

Messi, 33, was not the only player re-joining full training. Philippe Coutinho, Sergio Busquets and Ansu Fati also returned to the group dynamic. Coutinho has returned early following the conclusion of his loan with Bayern Munich, while both Busquets and Ansu have been on international duty.

Therefore, after a hectic few weeks, Messi has returned to some form of normality. He wanted to leave the club but backed down when he realised only a court case could help him go for free. Following two negative PCR tests, he has now been able to return to training and do what he loves.

Barça have a double session pencilled in for Wednesday, as was the case on Tuesday. After the morning's session, they will return again for a second workout at 5.30pn CET. It's not clear if Messi and Coutinho, who are a week behind most of their teammates, will be involved again in the afternoon.
