The Argentine star didn't train alongside his teammates in today's final session before the match with Athletic Club
The FC Barcelona squad took to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground tgus afternoon but there was no sign of Lionel Messi once again. He's been desperate to prove his fitness and aid the team from the very beginning but it's come too soon for him. Ahead of the official confirmation, Messi is out of the match against Athletic Club on Friday.
The Argentine is progressing well but he simply isn't ready and there's no reason to take risks at this point of the season.
