Lionel Messi does not yet have an official renewal offer from Barca
The Argentine is out of contract at the end of June and his future is unknown
FC Barcelona have not yet presented an official contract offer to Lionel Messi. Despite differing reports in the last few hours, the Argentine does not yet have his proposal from Joan Laporta to extend his contract beyond June 30.
Barcelona’s idea has always been to see the results of the audit that Laporta’s new board are conducting. They have shown the financial situation to be worse than first thought and for now there is no offer on the table for Messi.
SPORT reported a meeting between Jorge Messi and Joan Laporta to sit down and talk. There is a good ambience between them and predisposition to arrive at a deal. Since then there has been various conversations but nothing is completed.
