Levante present their case to RFEF over Chumi selection
Barcelona may be kicked out of the cup if the competition judge decides that is correct
Levante confirmed this morning on social media that they have presented their case to the RFEF over Barcelona’s alleged ineligible line-up in the first leg of their Copa del Rey last 16 clash.
Barca won 3-0 on Thursday, progressing to the quarters 4-2 on aggregate, but Levante presented their complaint on Friday morning, as president Quico Catalan said they would.
Now the competition judge Carmen Pere must decide whether to ratify or reject the complaint, which is late - they had 48 hours to complain.
The draw for the quarters takes place at 5pm on Friday and Barca are confident they will be in it.
