The newspaper claims Barça made a verbal offer for Neymar which included two current first team players going the other way

French newspaper 'L'Équipe' claims that negotiations between PSG and FC Barcelona have intensified over the last few hours as Neymar seeks a Camp Nou return.

In their report, they cite "sources close to Barcelona" insist they haven't made a written offer for Neymar but they have made their first verbal offer. The combined worth of those two players "exceeds the €222m Neymar cost PSG".

PSG insist they haven't received an official offer from Barcelona for Neymar. Whilst they know it's unrealistic to expect €300m for the Brazilian, they would prefer extra cash rather than a host of players Barça are happy to move on.

'L'Equipe' cited "anonymous sources" close to the player who ensured that Barcelona's offer to PSG was real.

The main names to have been linked as part of a part-swap deal for Neymar include Coutinho, Rakitic, Umtiti and even Dembélé. All of which hold significant value in the current transfer market.

Neymar's desire to leave isn't helped by the fact there's no buyout or release clause in his PSG contract. After spending over €200m on Neto, de Jong and Griezmann the cash reserves have been greatly reduced.

The Brazilian won't be involved in PSG's first two preseason friendlies but it remains to be seen whether he's included for their Asia Tour.
