L'Equipe: Barca and Juventus are negotiating a Griezmann and Dybala swap deal

The French forward needs to leave the club because his salary is so big

Barca and Juventus have made contact over a potential Antoine Griezmann for Paulo Dybala switch, per L’Equipe. The Blaugrana have now discarded the trade with Atletico Madrid for Saul, and are looking at a new way to get rid of one of the biggest salaries on their books.

Conversations between Barca and Juve are at their beginnings. We don’t know now if one of the two sides would also have to pay money as part of the trade. Unlike with the Saul deal, Barca would be getting a guaranteed goalscorer in exchange. Griezmann has scored 35 goals and given 17 assists in the last two seasons.

Last year Dybala played 26 games and scored five with three assists, but these are numbers marked by a bad knee injury he had that kept him out for months. Once he shook off the problem he became important again for Juve, who finished fourth.
