Leo Messi has scored 128 doubles for Barcelona

Barcelona needed some help and Lionel Messi was happy to oblige after coming on as a substitute against Real Betis, taking the team from 1-1 at the break to a 5-2 win.

Messi scored a double, a penalty and a shot lashed home, the latter felt important as it was his first goal from open play this season.

He is 33, and tried to leave the club last season. But the signs are there that he has been unlucky in front of goal this season more than anything else.

Ronald Koeman has testified to his professionalism and Leo is the team's top scorer and the reigning Pichichi holder.

He has scored 128 doubles for Barcelona, eight of those coming against Betis.
