The competition committee has issued Leo Messi a 600 euro fine for his tribute to Diego Maradona on Sunday. The Barcelona forward whipped off his shirt against Osasuna and showed a Newell's Old Boys top, in honour of the Argentine legend's death.
BArcelona were fined 3,350 euros and now Messi has been punished too - although the maximum punishment is 3,000 euros, so this is a light one. Referee Mateu Lahoz included in his report of the game a description of Messi taking his shirt off and the booking he received for it.
