'Leo Messi and Michael Jordan are the same in their desire to win'
Barça coach Quique Setien watched The Last Dance during lockdown in Spain
Quique Setien has not got bored during the lockdown. He's a man that knows how to keep busy with different activities, reading and even watching television, something he didn't usually do previously.
He has been watching the documentary The Last Dance, dedicated to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
"I was interested to see it," said the Barcelona coach, who recognised that you can always learn things from documentaries like this.
"Everything helps. I imagine [Bulls coach] Phil Jackson also arrived in a dressing room with hugely talented players one day. I have spent two months and a few days with them."
During the interview with El Partizado de la Cadena COPE, he also drew parallels between Jordan and Barça star Lionel Messi.
"In their desire to win, of course they are the same," Setien said. "All those that are so good know that they can win and need fuel themselves in the same way."
Setien confirmed that Messi has had some problems during the return to work but said he will be fine for Mallorca on Saturday.
"Messi, as with other players, had a minor issue and out of precaution, we decided to err on the side of caution. These issues can become a more serious problem and to miss four games out of 11 is a lot."
