The centre-back didn't want to talk transfers while with the France national team

Clement Lenglet is currently with the France national team following a long season with Barcelona. The defender has been asked by L'Equipe about his compatriot Antoine Griezmann and his possible move to Camp Nou.

Lenglet didn't want to get involved and assured that "I don't have a strong position in the club to be asked my opinion on these decisions," he said. "In any case, they've never asked me about Antoine."

On his club and international teammate Samuel Umtiti, he said: "We're both French, both left-footed, both play in the same position, for the same club and now for France. Inevitably people are going to ask questions, try and compare us... I always give the same answer because it's true: the relationship between us has been very good since I joined the club.

"It is a question of respect. I respect him as a person and a player. I think Sam feels the same towards me. When you're French and at a foreign club, it's natural you gravitate to each other. We speak, we talk, we laugh... the competition [for places] doesn't interfere with that."
