Lenglet beats out Umtiti in the French team too
Didier Deschamps called up the ex Sevilla player, omitting the former Lyon man
Clement Lenglet has been picked ahead of Samuel Umtiti for France. Didier Deschamps followed Ernesto Valverde, who picks Lenglet ahead of Umtiti for Barcelona, by opting for the former Sevilla man in his squad, leaving out the other Blaugrana player.
Umtiti, who last season suffered from knee problems, used to be untouchable for Barcelona but those times have gone. Barcelona's only representative in the squad is Antoine Griezmann, with Ousmane Dembele out injured. Man City's Aymeric Laporte has also been called up.
The squad is: Areola - Lloris - Maignan - Digne - Dubois - Hernandez - Laporte - Lenglet - Pavard - Varane - Zouma - Matuidi - N'Zonzi - Pogba - Sissoko - Tolisso - Ben Yedder - Coman - Fekir - Giroud - Griezmann - Ikoné - Lemar.
