Leganes owner: Barca must pay Braithwaite's clause or he stays
The club's chief, Felipe Moreno, says the forward's only moving if the release is triggered
Leganes owner Felipe Moreno confirmed that Barcelona got in touch on Monday, to ask about striker Martin Braithwaite, but he told them "pay the clause or he stays at Leganes."
Moreno told media at Butarque: "The truth is that we're very worried. After what happened with En-Nesyri, staying in this league gets harder every day."
“I can understand that Barcelona do this if the law says it but I thought they could not sign an active player and only one not contracted. Yesterday they called and they were thinking about it as well as others. I understand that Braithwaite would go to Barca, I would too. That said we're not negotiating anything. Pay the clause or he stays at Leganes."
