The French press claim Neymar's ankle is still an issue and he hasn't been risked out of a fear he could suffer a setback

Neymar remains the headline-maker as the transfer window draws to a close but 'Le Parisien' claim all might not be well with the Brazilian. The French newspaper claim PSG's former head of the medical department, Dr Eric Rolland, has identified a weakness in Neymar's right foot and that there's a very high chance of him re-injuring it if he returns to action.

The first time Neymar suffered the injury was in February 2018 and then once again in January 2019. On both occasions, the Brazilian missed crucial matches for PSG. His most recent setback came with Brazil against Qatar but, after it was originally diagnosed as a sprain, it appears it be a lot more serious.

'Le Parisien' spoke to Dr. Rolland, who left his post with PSG this summer, who said: "Neymar's foot is too then and the risk of a setback in his fifth metatarsal is very probable." If this happens, Neymar would spend months on the sidelines. This is revealed whilst Barcelona are negotiating a deal to bring Neymar to the Camp Nou.
