The striker is currently focused on the job in hand at Inter in the Europa League

Barcelona's move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has run into problems for sporting and financial reasons.

Barça must sell players in attacking positions to make place for the Argentine and, in addition, need to bring in cash to meet Inter's asking price.

Talks are on hold until after the Champions League and, for that reason, his agent, Alberto Yaqué, has played down the move for now.

"The Lautaro transfer is more a media thing," he said. "Lautaro has three years on his contract with Inter and is really good where he is."

However, Yaqué also admitted that talks between Inter and Barça could resume when the Europa League and Champions League finish.

"Lautaro still has the Europa League to come and I hope Inter can get to the final," he added. "That's the big thing right now."

Lautaro wants to sign for Barça but Inter want 70 million euros plus Junior Firpo. Barça need to bring in cash and sell some forwards to do that deal.

If it's not possible this summer, the Catalan club will look to revive the deal in 2021.
