The sporting department has everything ready to go but Barça first need to streamline their squad and generate enough money to complete the transfer. It's important Barça work within the limits of Financial Fair Play and the club's salary limit. This is why certain footballers have been made available in order to balance the books ahead of acquiring Lautaro. The player is aware of the situation is waiting for Barça to get everything in order. The Argentine forward is desperate to play for Barça.
Talks between Inter and Barça are going well and there's an agreement in principle of €65m-70m plus Junior Firpo going in the opposite direction. The plan is to sell one of the club's existing stars such as Semedo, Dembele or Coutinho but because the Premier League finished later than other leagues, it's causing delays across the entire transfer market.
Lautaro Martínez will only leave Inter for Barça and is willing to wait a year should that be necessary. He isn't interested in a move to England. Serie A concludes this weekend but Lautaro's future won't be resolved until after the Champions League.
