Las Palmas keep making money from Pedri deal to Barca
The youngster is crucial for Ronald Koeman's Barca team
Pedri is a key piece of the puzzle for Barcelona, even though he broke into the team this season at 17 years old. He’s made 50 appearances for the club, the second-youngest player to do so, behind Bojan Krkic and ahead of Leo Messi.
Pedri arrived for 5 million euros from Las Palmas, staying on loan there for a year, where he shone in La Liga Smartbank.
The Canarian side accepted Barca’s offer in 2019, but there are several variables in the deal.
Las Palmas have received around 20 million euros for Pedri already, four times the initial price.
The fact he has reached 50 games for Barca is worth nine million euros, and Barca already paid more money when he got his Spain call up.
Barca have to give a further five million when he gets to 100 gams for Barca, and it can keep rising to 30 million euros if all the variables are fulfilled.
Las Palmas also have 15% of any potential sale of Pedri if Barcelona decide to sell him.
