Laporta: Losing brings consequences and there will be more signings
The Barcelona president says the club will be busy in the transfer market this week
Joan Laporta spoke to the media for the third time in a week at the presentation of Eric Garcia on Tuesday.
The Barcelona president said there will be more signings soon after Sergio Aguero and Garcia both arrived on free transfers this week.
"Nothing happening after losing has to end," Laporta said. "We lost the league and there will be consequences. There will be more player presentations.
"We are working on improving the squad. We're trying to balance the squad. You will see what we're doing. Next week there will be more news."
MESSI
Laporta also responded to questions about Messi's renewal with the Catalan club. The forward's current terms are up on June 30.
"The renewal is going well but it's not done," he explained. "It's not a financial issue for him. He's been understanding. He wants to stay and wants a competitive team to win trophies."
