Konrad: from USA debut to Barça B's league game against L'Hospitalet
The winger will be involved with the B team on Sunday
Konrad de la Fuente made his full debut for the United States senior team last week. The Miami-born Barcelona winger made his full international debut against Wales on Nov. 12 in a goalless draw.
He started and played for 71 minutes. The next aim is to play for his country in a competitive game, not a friendly.
That's also his aim at Barça. He played for the first team in preseason against Gimnastic and Girona but has not yet played a competitive game, despite making the squad several times.
With the injury to Ansu Fati, he could have a bigger chance in the coming weeks, but not this week against Atletico Madrid. He was not named in the 21-man squad and will instead play for the B team against L’Hospitalet.
However, Barça B coach Garcia Pimienta will be closely following the first team game at the Wanda because goalkeeper Arnau Tenas and centre-back Oscar Mingueza are both in the squad for the game.
Pimienta will not know until Sunday if they will be available for the B team this weekend upon their return from Madrid.
