Koeman's response to Lionel Messi's interview with DIario SPORT
The Dutch coach says it's positive that Messi has turned the page on the summer's events
Ronald Koeman spoke to the media on Wednesday to preview Thursday's trip to Celta Vigo. The Dutch coach spoke about a number of issues, including Lionel Messi's exclusive interview with SPORT.
Messi said that it was time to move on after so many disagreements and called on everyone to pull together for the good of the team.
On his comments, Koeman said: "I don't know if after Messi's comments I will have a quiet life as Barça coach, I don't think so. There's always something!
"But, of course, it's very positive that the captain calls for us to be united, very positive, and I hope we're going to be a little calmer than have been recently."
With regards to Messi's position in his new 4231 system, Koeman added: "We're looking for a position in which Messi can be at his best for this club, as he always has done. In training, we always look for formulas to win and so Leo is very happy in this team."
