The coach says that Messi is a winner who always wants to play
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman was asked if he would rotate Lionel Messi, in his press conference on Friday. Messi was in South America playing for Argentina in the international break.
"It always depends on the player, I ask them how they are, if they are tired. This afternoon we have our final training session and we will decide the team that will play tomorrow."
The coach added that Messi "is a player who is more tired if he doesn't play, he's a winning player who always wants to play, but I have to speak to him and the rest and see how they are physically."
Koeman says that Messi has "gone many years playing with packed calendars. If there's a medical thing or fatigue it's another matter, but he's capable of playing the next important games that we have in front of us."
