Koeman praises Carles Aleña's transformation into complete midfielder

Ronald Koeman made a number of changes against Dynamo Kiev and everything went perfectly. Many players given a chance to impress seized the moment. One of them was Carles Aleña, who previously had only played eight minutes of football this season. 

Aleña produced a complete performance in Kiev and was involved in creating two of the four goals. On his situation at the club and his future, Koeman praised the transformation he's had to undergo during the last few months. 

"He is a young player that's been away (on loan at Real Betis)," Koeman said. "The change of system was tough for him at first this season, but he is improving a lot to be a pivot in this team.

"He is working hard, giving everything, changing things he needs to be a Barça player in midfield. You need intensity, defensive work. We're no playing with two interiors, but with two pivots, so we need to give him time to improve."
