The Catalan side need to beat Dynamo Kiev or risk exiting the competition at the group stage

Ronald Koeman spoke ahead of Barcelona's vital Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev this week, which the Catalans must win if they want to stay in the competition.

In that sense, the Dutch coach said that "this team can compete, but we can't demand that they win the Champions League."

Koeman's happy to be starting to get players back from injuries: "Recovering the injured players will help. Those that are back are still not at their best, but they're on track."

And he called on the veterans to step up against Kiev: "There are experienced players that have to be an example in these games.

"The young players have shown that they can handle the pressure at Barça. They have played in big games, with us and their national teams, so it's not a question of experience."

How far can Barça go this season? "That depends on many circumstances. We have to build on the other day. We played well in the first half. The team was at the level demanded, but there's room to improve several things."
