Koeman's monumental rant at Barcelona defender Oscar Mingueza

The Dutch coach lost his cool with the youngster in Barça's win over Getafe

It was probably the image of the game. Oscar Mingueza, who's burst onto the scene this season and who Ronald Koeman has shown complete confidence in, was caught up in a heated discussion with the Barcelona coach in the second half of Thursday's win over Getafe.

With the score at 3-2 in the 75th minute, Mingueza has burst forward for an attack which Francisco Trincao has not been able to finish.

But the cameras quickly cut to the figure of Koeman, who was ranting at Mingueza for having took such a big risk at a critical moment in the game.

Within two minutes, the Dutch coach had decided to take Mingueza off and replace him with Samuel Umtiti, who hadn't played since March 6.

Mingueza made his way round the pitch back to the bench where he was greeted by his teammates. Koeman didn't react at first but did offer his hand in the end. As Mingueza tried to offer an explanation, the Barça boss said "we will speak later."

It will surely be one of those things that Mingueza will learn from as he continues his development into an important player at Barça.

Meanwhile, Barça went on to win the game 5-2.
