Koeman cannot call up Barça B centre-backs Comas or Mingo this week

Neither are registered to play in the Champions League this season

The problems are mounting for Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman in this most unusual of seasons due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Barça have been hit especially hard in defence in recent weeks, with all four centre-backs in the first team squad either injured or returning from injuries after Clement Lenglet picked up a knock on Sunday.

There's been no medical report on Lenglet and Barça hope the injury isn't serious but it seems he will not be available for Wednesday's Champions League game against Ferencvaros.

The Frenchman joins Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo on the sidelines.

Therefore, Oscar Mingueza is set to continue in the team and his most likely partner this week will be Frenkie de Jong.

The other option is Junior Firpo because Koeman is not able to call on any more B team defenders. Neither Aranu Comas nor Ramos Mingo have been registered on the B list for the Champions League.

Therefore, Koeman will have to improvise -- luckily Barça have already booked their place in the next round of the Champions League.
