Koeman: Barça players can't miss two penalties, it's not serious

The Dutch coach complained about Barça's failure to kill the game off in normal time

Ronald Koeman analysed Barcelona's 2-0 win over Cornella in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, which only came after the tie had gone to extra-time.

Ousmane Dembele and Martin Braithwaite eventually scored the goals after Dembele and Miralem Pjanic had missed penalties in normal time.

And Koeman complained that his team is missing too many chances.

"We have to win the game earlier," the Barça coach said. "We have to be more efficient. I don'0t understand how with the players we have we can't score (penalties), maybe it's fear, I don't know. But you can't miss two penalties as Barcelona players, that's not serious."

Koeman added: "And there is not so much pressure to take penalties because of no atmosphere, no pressure from fans. We need cool heads and to score. Missing penalties is part of the job but we can't accept missing two in a game like today."
