The former PSG player has not yet signed a contract with the Catalan club

Kays Ruiz, who previously played in Barcelona's academy, left Paris Saint-Germain a few weeks ago and is close to signing a three-year deal to return to Camp Nou.

Ruiz, 18, hopes to find his way into the first team eventually, but the plan is to start in the B team under the orders of Sergi Barjuan.

The Sky Sport Italia journalist Matteo Moretto has reported, though, that Ruiz will start preseason with Barça's first team on Monday.

The midfielder will work with Ronald Koeman (until when will depend on how he does and when players return from international duty) without having officially signed yet.

Ruiz played for Barça between 2009 and 2015 but was one of the youngsters affected by the FIFA transfer ban and was forced to move to PSG.

In the new Primera RFEF (the third tier of Spanish football) he will have the chance to continue developing with the aim of making the Barça first team.
