Juventus close the door on Memphis for good by signing Milik

Juventus have officially announced the signing of the Polish striker on loan

Memphis Depay will not play for Juventus this season. The high salary demands of the Dutchman have put off the 'bianconero' team. The Italians grew tired of waiting and have turned to greener pastures with the signing of Arkadiusz Milik.

The Polish striker will play on loan with the 'Vecchia Signora' until next season, and Juventus have an option to buy him after that for around 8 million euros. They will also have to pay a fixed sum for the loan, plus another in the form of variables.

Memphis has lost out on a deal that had shown much promise until recently. The player demanded a 7 million euro salary, which Juventus could not afford, and they ended up opting for Milik instead.

With less than a week left in the transfer window, Memphis and FC Barcelona will have to hurry to find a transfer for him. The player does not fit into the plans of the sporting project, and the alternative of returning to Manchester United is looking very likely.
