The Italian club will go for the Roma frontman in their striker search

Report in Italy say Juventus will sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko to complete their attack which already includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Paolo Dybala. Therefore, Barcelona forward Luis Suarez looks set to miss out on his move to Turin, at least in the short term.

'Tuttosport' say "Dzeko is a Juve player" and that everything is signed but there is one thing holding up the deal being completed: the final details of Arkadiusz Milik's contract with Roma (he will join from Napoli as Dzeko's replacement) are delaying the two transfers being signed off.

However, Bosnian forward Dzeko is expected to join up with Andrea Pirlo's squad next week when the deal is expected to go through at a cost of around 16 million euros. Dzeko will sign a two-year deal. It's a lot of money for a 34-year-old but Juve feel he's a player that has looked after himself and remains in great shape, like Ronaldo.

It leaves Suarez in the dark. The Barça man travelled to Perugia on Thursday to pass an Italian exam as he seeks citizenship to ease a move to Italy. But he's not guaranteed to have all the necessary documentation in place before the transfer window closes in October.
