Tuttosport say the defender is not able to leave the club

Juventus have made their stance clear on Matthijs de Ligt. They consider him non-transferrable and will not include him in any negotiations with Barcelona. They consider him a sure bet for the future.

Barca and Juve are negotiating over various names. Rakitic, Arthur, Semedo and Todibo from Barca, Pjanic, Rugani and De Sciglio from Juve. However De Ligt will not be part of any trade. He's a player Barca previously wanted.

The Dutchman arrived last summer in Italy for 75m euros from Ajax. He found it hard to break into the team past Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli, but injury to the former opened the door to De Ligt. He has played 20 games, scoring twice in Serie A.
