'Just a few details' to go before Ronald Araujo renews with Barcelona
The Uruguayan centre-back has a deal which expires in 2023 and there are plenty of interested clubs
Ronald Araujo’s renewal is on a good path. On Tuesday his agents met with Mateu Alemany in the Sushi 99 restaurant in Barcelona. Franc Carbo, member of the sports department was also there.
“There is a good disposition for him to renew,” said Alemany.
Meanwhile, his agent Edmundo Kabchi said: “There’s good intention from both sides, I have not spoke to the player, we hope that it goes well. We hope in the coming days and hours to reach a total deal. We are doing well, not miles apart, there’s a few details to sort out. The meeting went well. I ask for calm. The player’s priority is to stay. The club will do what they need to, we will too.”
The deal is close and Araujo will be a Barcelona player for years to come.
