The Blaugrana are trying to sign the Inter forward and Junior could be a part of the deal

The Lautaro Martinez operation has not finished yet because Inter Milan and Barca are yet to finalise the set up - which two players will go the other way as part exchange. Barca have given Inter permission to speak to Junior and also Nelson Semedo.

The left-back still has yet to say what he wants, but for now it seems he prefers to stay at Barcelona and fight for a spot. Inter believe they can give him more games and more money.

Junior arrived at Barca a year ago with the objective of trying to give Alba competition. Neither Ernesto Valverde nor Quique Setien has seen him as a true challenger.

Junior had some contact with Roma and Napoli but it could be Inter who take him. Barca value him at 30 million euros, a number that Inter are trying to lower.

The key to the issue is if Junior reaches an agreement with Inter but it might not be that easy. They can raise his salary but he will want sporting guarantees too. He’s not closing any doors, keeping his cards close to his chest, but he thinks he can still succeed at Bara.

Nelson Semedo is valued at a higher level by Barca and he has suitors in the Premier League, including Man City.

What is clear is that the club will not get cash out of Junior, they will use him as an exchange option.
