The coach made some curious choices for the friendlies with Germany and Argentina
Julen Lopetegui, Spain coach, explained why Sergi Roberto and Alvaro Morata were not included in his squad to face Germany and Argentina in friendlies at the end of March.
"They are names who had chances but there's not a space for everyone," said the coach, who added that not being picked now was not going to mean they missed out on the World Cup necessarily.
Gerard Moreno and Pablo Sarabia of Espanyol and Sevilla respectively, also missed out on the list despite good club form. Lopetegui said he's watching both players.
