Jorge Valdano: "Zidane has finally beaten Lionel Messi"

Jorge Valdano told 'France Press' that Zinedine Zidane had finally gotten the better of Messi as he guided Real Madrid to the LaLiga title last week.

"Zidane has finally beaten Messi and managed to do it with so much efficiency," the former Real Madrid player and coach declared.

"He worked with an array of talent, was very efficient and put in a lot of planning. This is because what he did was a lot more difficult than people think," Valdano said.

"And all of this is thanks to his ever increasing wisdom and being a coach unlike anybody else. He continues to surprise me by his evolution across the board."

"He's a very intelligent and professional man," continued the Argentine pundit. "He uses his experience to improve. He won because he was able, more than anybody else, to adapt and adapt his team to new situations."
