Jorge Mendes offers Spain & Wolves striker Rafa Mir to Barcelona

The forward scored a hat-trick for Spain in the win over Ivory Coast on Saturday

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir, who was on loan at Huesca last season, starred with a hat trick on Saturday as Spain made the semifinals of the Olympic Games.

Mir's reputation has been growing over the last year, so much so in fact that his agent Jorge Mendes has even offered him to Barcelona.

The first offer came months ago, but Barça knocked it back. Now, though, his form has brought him back to the table for the Catalan club, who hope to move on Martin Braithwaite and Rey Manaj in the coming days.

Mir wants to return to La Liga, where he scored 13 goals last season plus three more in the Copa del Rey. Wolves are also ready to do business on the 24-year-old, who is out of contract in 2022. They are even open to a swap deal, although in this case it remains to be seen who could be included.

A No.9 who is good in the air, the 1.91m forward is in fashion at the moment. And given the financial situations of many big clubs in Europe, he could be a low-cost option to strengthen many teams.
