Jorge Mendes, one of the most powerful agents in the world, has become more involved in Barça’s transfer activity in recent years. His latest involvement was in the signing of Nelson Semedo by FC Barcelona from Benfica.
Mendes has been involved in various capacities, including the transfer of player’s his agency represents or getting involved in other operations. After several years’ absence, he re-appeared again with the signing of Andre Gomes last year from Valencia and is now involved in the transfer of Nelson Semedo from Benfica.
His involvement was also key in the transfer of Paco Alcácer, represented by Toldrá Consulting, for €30 million and he is now looking for an exit for the Turkish midfielder Arda Turan.
