According to SPORT, Jordi Cruyff has extended his contract with FC Barcelona for another year. The club began to discuss his continuity at the end of last season and the agreement is now on paper. As per his preference, he has committed to one more year. The club would have liked to sign him for more, but they respect his decision.
When the sporting portfolio is presented shortly, the new position he will assume will be the sporting director and not the technical secretary. He is on good terms with the director of soccer, Mateu Alemany, who is more dedicated to finances side of things.
He started working on September 1, 2021, after having been an adviser and responsible for the foreign market.
