Barca coach Valverde did not want to risk the defender and Semedo moved to left back
Jordi Alba ended the game against Real Valladolid feeling something. The left back, who particiapted a lot in attack, asked for the change after feeling some physical problem near the end. Coach Ernesto Valverde reacted quickly and subbed him off for Sergi Roberto, who went right while Nelson Semedo came over and played on the left.
Barca were poised to send on Carles Alena but eventually it was Roberto who came on, because of the problem with Alba. The coach has always made clear he won't run any risks with the players because of how loaded the calendar is.
