He told them to obey coach Ronald Koeman, who is in charge

Barcelona got the ball rolling on Monday with pre-season after the players passed PCR tests and medical tests on the weekend.

Ronald Koeman only had seven players at his disposal, Sergiño Dest, Gerard Piqué, Miralem Pjanic, Riqui Puig, Neto, Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti and Moussa Wague, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho continuing with their injury recovery, while the other squad members are on holiday after the Copa America and the Euros.

Joan Laporta wanted to be there at the start and he came to the training ground along with Rafa Yuste, sporting director Mateu Alemany, and CEO Enric Masip.

Laporta spoke to the players briefly and told them “Listen to this man (Koeman), he’s the guy in charge.”

B teamers Inaki Pena, Arnau Tenas, Alex Collado, Gavi, Arnau Comas, Nico Gonzalez and Yusuf Demir reinforced the session.
