Former Barcelona president and candidate for the new elections, Joan Laporta, has spoken about Neymar’s words.
The Brazilian forward, ex-Barca, said he would like to play with Leo Messi again next season. That could mean a move to PSG for the Argentine.
Laporta said: “His words won’t worry me. I have things to say but I won’t say them so as not to destabilise the team. The team is building up, we can’t rock it. I won’t get into this game of giving names of players that might come. It’s normal he says that, they are friends. That’s normal. I hope Leo can wait and listen to the proposal from Barcelona’s new president.”
Laporta indicated too that “we have contact with Leo, we respect each other, but we haven’t spoken about his renewal. I need to be president to offer him that. Messi guarantees you the chance to aspiring to winning everything, I want him to stay at Barca.”
