Joan Laporta's reaction when asked about Erling Haaland
The president made a joke when fans told him they wanted the Dortmund hitman
Joan Laporta is still working on returning Barcelona to their former glory. The reconstruction is underway and as well as betting on La Masia, the club are also looking to bring in top level talent. Erling Haaland is Barcelona’s dream.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is wanted by a lot of top clubs but Barcelona’s economical situation is not the best to pay for him.
Barcelona are still trying though and Laporta has a good relationship with his agent, Mino Raiola. Told “We want Haaland” by fans in Saudi Arabia, Laporta replied: “Who’s that?”in a joking response. Told by the fan he’s a Dortmund player, Laporta added: “That kid’s a very good player!”
