Joan Laporta to meet the squad after Ronald Koeman's sacking

| sport

The Dutch coach left the club on Wednesday night after a defeat at Rayo Vallecano

With Ronald Koeman’s sacking, Joan Laporta has made his most important decision since returning as president. He advised when being appointed that the time of “losing having no consequences” was over.

The moment has arrived to make decisions and get them across well, both inside the club and out. He has called a meeting with the squad at 4.30 pm on Thursday afternoon.

There he will give the squad the details and reasoning behind Koeman’s departure and tell them what the plan is going forward.

In theory Barca were to train at 11am but after Koeman’s sacking, the plans were midfield. Now they will work at 5pm, after the meeting, most likely under Albert Capellas as interim coach.
