Joan Laporta to Ansu Fati: We will help you achieve your objectives
The president was pleased to announce Ansu's new contract, until 2027
Barcelona president Joan Laporta hailed Ansu Fati at his contract renewal celebration, a deal that runs until 2027.
“At Barcelona we will help you achieve your objectives,” said Laporta. “They are ours, too.”
On the player, he said: “He has an extraordinary maturity, a superlative footballing talent and he is chosen to achieve glory.”
Laporta also thanked the player’s family. “It’s been a pleasure to meet them,” he said. He thanked them for their efforts, and that of Ansu’s agent Jorge Mendes. “We have all tried to arrive at a meeting point, we did it and I am very happy.”
Asked about the idea of a team of players formed at La Masia, Laporta aded: “It would be a dream come true for me and the rest of the board. You have to bring in players at the right level for the team, (it would be great if) they were made at home.”
