Joan Laporta: "Tebas has taken off his mask, he has a Barça phobia"

The Barcelona president replied to the LaLiga chief on Tuesday

It was an act in which, theoretically, Joan Laporta was due to appear alongside the Minister of the Interior, Joan Ignasi Elena, to present a security matter and an agreement with the Mossos regarding the aerial surveillance of the Spotify Camp Nou -- the integration of the Kuppel system used by the Catalan regional police.

However, LaLiga president Javier Tebas' words on Monday changed everything and drew a strong response from the Barcelona chief.

The Barça president, as expected, did not bite his tongue and harshly attacked his LaLiga counterpart after he said he should "resign" if he did not explain the whole Enríquez Negreira affair properly.

"During my first mandate, invoices were made that had the documentary support of the requested arbitration services," he began.

"When we have more information we will provide it. We are carrying out an internal investigation and soon we will hold a press conference where we will provide all the information we have."

And then came the response to Tebas directly: "Tebas has once again taken off his mask. It is a phobia towards Barcelona.

"Tebas always appears in a recurrent way to destabilise us. I will not give him the pleasure: Barcelona belongs to its members. Whoever decides to tarnish the club's history will face a forceful response."
