The Barcelona chief was in good spirits ahead of the clash with Bayern Munich

Barcelona are ready to face Bayern in Munich. They need to be at their best to survive and progress in the Champions League. Upon arriving at the directors’ lunch, Barcelona president Joan Laporta was optimistic. “I’m very confident we will go through,” said the Barcelona chief.

“Barcelona is a club that has a tradition, a trajectory and we want to go through. It’s one of those games where you have to go proudly and show who you are. The players will be proud. I am very confident that we will go through.

“Despite the weather, that cannot be an excuse for Barcelona not to show their pride and dignity.

“There’s no fear. We’re playing for everything and that gives respect, not fear. We can’t wait for the game. To the fans, I ask them they are proud of Barça, we have a magnificent time ahead of us. They know that this needs time, but in no moment will we stop taking on the situations that come up with the will of making Barcelona fans happy.”
