Joan Laporta 'forgets' about Memphis Depay

The president was speaking about the options that Xavi has in attack this season

Joan Laporta is loving life in Miami. He landed with the Barcelona team and is enjoying his time there. Firstly, with the announcement and arrival of Robert Lewandowski. Laporta was delighted to finally be able to hug the new striker. And beyond that, because the team is taking part in a lot of events and Laporta is in his element there.

In an interview with Hristo Stoichkov, the former Barcelona player and current Tudn television employee, Laporta touched on various topics.

“Lewandowski is a born goalscorer, different from what we have had. I think Johan would have liked him. With Raphinha, Dembele, Ferran Torres, who has goals and potential, Ansu Fati, Aubameyang, Abe is progressing well. We have an attack that is sure to put on a show,” said Laporta. Curiously, he forgot about Memphis Depay.

The Dutchman may leave Barcelona to lighten their salary load and overbooking in attack, along with Martin Braithwaite of course, and Laporta, maybe accidentally, has hinted at it.
