Joan Laporta and Ronald Koeman meet in Barcelona restaurant
The president and his coach had a discussion over lunch on Thursday
Ronald Koeman and Joan Laporta have met at the Via Veneto restaurant in Barcelona, Mediaset report. They had to sit down and discuss the coach’s future. Rafa Yuste, Laporta’s right hand man, was also present.
SPORT reported that the dressing room have a cordial relationship with Koeman, and that could play a part. He has also been bold with his use of young players.
Tactically there are more doubts over Koeman, though, and after Barca dropped out of the title race, his future is on the line.
Laporta will speak at the opening of the Barca Cafe at Camp Nou on Friday, so maybe he will give us some clues as to Koeman’s future there.
