Jean-Clair Todibo loaned to Nice with an option to buy
The French defender came back from loan from Benfica where he suffered
Jean-Clair Todibo is close to sealing his move to Nice for the rest of the season on loan. SPORT have learned that the player has passed his medical and it will be a question of hours before he is officially announced there.
Barca have agreed the loan with an option to buy for 8.5 million euros, up to 15m including variables, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
If they do buy Todibo, Barcelona would earn a 15% of any future sale that Nice make.
After contracting Covid-19 during the start to the season and Koeman making it clear he didn’t need him at Barca, Todibo moved to Benfica on loan but he did not work there either and barely was handed any minutes. Maybe things will go better for him in Ligue 1.
