Javier Tebas defends Barca from Al-Khelafi criticism
Barcelona had an unlikely defender after Al-Khelaifi's dig
Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke at the most recent ECA meeting and took a pop at Barcelona. “We have to be careful, dangerous levels of debt and injecting capital as if by magic is not a sustainable path. We have to think long term, not short term,” he said. Comments Javier Tebas did not like.
The La Liga chief defended the club’s strategy and attacked PSG’s. “There is no magic, Barcelona has sold some of patrimony to cover their losses, but at PSG on the other hand, you ‘turn on the gas’. For sustainable football the first thing to do is to pay what you owe, right?” he wrote on social media.
It’s not the first time Tebas has attacked PSG over their spending. When Mbappe decided to stay in Paris he lashed out at the French club.
