Javier Mascherano gets going with new club Hebei Fortune
The Argentine enjoyed his first training session with the Chinese club
Javier Mascherano has started his new era in Chinese football. The player waved goodbye to Barcelona's fans on Thursday at an emotional pre-game event at Camp Nou and on Friday headed to Marbella to link up with the Hebei Fortune squad.
The Chinese team are plotting their Super League assault on Spanish territory. Mascherano is one of the team's key players straight away and there is a lot of expectation on him. The Jefecito is one of the biggest name players n the league.
Mascherano wants to play in the build up to the World Cup and at Barcelona he had fallen behind Pique and Umtiti in the pecking order, with Thomas Vermaelen also playing well too.
